We are Shadrach Smith and Alice Bachini-Smith, bringing the British artisan cooking revival across the ocean to Austin, Texas (and the rest of the USA by mail- coming soon). Shad grew up in Austin and Alice lived in England until a few years ago. Shocked at the unavailability of great British food classics over here, and depressed by the tired old imports on the shelves of select supermarkets (Heinz beans and Tetley teabags, anyone?), we decided to get baking and share our favourite goodies with America, starting in South Austin, where we live.

Everything we sell is hand-made from real, good, proper ingredients to the most delicious standards possible, often a lot better than you might find on the UK high (main) street. It’s not what you’re used to enjoying with your frappalattino- more interesting than the norm, and more fabulous than you would expect. But you won’t believe that until you’ve tasted some yourself.
